I am an IT professional looking to move forward with a business technology team that plays part in managing company data, reporting on data, and performing maintenance on database environments to help achieve company financial and reporting goals.

AUG 2018 – Present

data analyst, papa john’s international

At Papa John’s International I am the administrator over our Oracle Essbase Environment. My responsibilities include:

-          Using Essbase Administrative Services and Shared Services console, manage franchisee requests to get them access to their store data and align their store hierarchies as requested and maintaining Cubus reporting views that provides availability to data.

-          Performing maintenance needed on any of our 13 Essbase cubes as the organization uses this data for enterprise reporting purposes across Corporate and Franchise members.

-          Assisting in QA tasks for queries and Tableau dashboards using Google Big Query, Oracle Essbase, and Oracle SQL Developer data sources by creating custom queries to validate data matches within a reasonable variance between the three data sources.

-          Creating and updating queries and views that are used to build reports in Tableau seen by upper level management and the franchisees in the field to track their performance and overall sales trends.

As a tier 1 support specialist my responsibilities included:

-          Providing Production level support for our client’s database and software solutions using SQL Server and homegrown company software solutions to help provide support for tracking of products as they pass through conveyor and PLC controllers.

-          Answering emergency calls related to business-critical data flows to allow clients to get their conveyors and controllers back working as quickly and efficiently as possible.

-          Working tickets submitted for lower priority issues to make client software and database issues work as seamlessly as intended.

As an intern I was a manager of the TFS environment used for Agile tracking and reporting. My responsibilities included:

-          Taking data from TFS and helping teams to track issues and work through internal blockers and pain points while supporting managerial staff requests.

-          Helping maintain TFS workflows and creating reports through PowerPoint and Report Builder 3.0 for our Chief Technological Officer and Executive Team Leads to track specific projects and team’s progressions through the sprints.

SQl developer and it admin intern, american Pharmacy services Corp

As an intern I was the sole IT and database administrator tasked with building out a relational database to intake CSV files from a third-party vendor. My responsibilities included:

-          Take CSV files and creating a workflow to input these files into database tables that would allow for the easy querying and manipulation of data to achieve organizational insight into what was being used most frequently and what pharmacy inventory levels were at the current time.

-          Create an ASP.Net website that allowed multiple user connections on an intranet web server using IIS, Microsoft Server 2012, and SQL Server Express 2016.

-          Manage server utilization and processing to keep internal server running at max efficiency while utilizing multiple VDI’s to stand up different portions of the business.

-          Maintain Microsoft Server 2008 for file server purposes as the organization gained capital funding to eventually upgrade and move to a better and supported version.

Graduating with a 3.7 cumulative GPA, I was also a selected member for the 2012 Governor’s Scholar Program recipients and attended Centre College. I was a member of the starting varsity soccer team and received defensive player of the year in 2012.

Graduating with a 3.3 cumulative GPA, I also made the Dean’s list in the Spring of 2016 with a GPA of 3.55. As well as graduating with my degree in Computer Information Systems, I studied concentrations of web development and Information security and built numerous web systems and database systems for companies with some still being used to this day (APSC internship with custom built relational database system using MySQL and ASP.NET website to retrieve data and University of Louisville Nursing School student portal website).

Activities

I have a passion for community outreach and programs that look to do good for people who need help. Some of the things that I am involved in include:

-          MyDogEatsFirst, an outreach program that helps provide homeless and less fortunate individuals with pets get the clothes, food, and accessories needed to have a healthy animal.

-          Habitat for Humanity, a program to get out and provide community service through landscaping and helping with setting up foundations for homes.

-          Catholic Heart Work Camp, a program that provides mission work within the United States in places considered low income areas doing tasks including housework, childcare, lawn care, and family services.

 

I am also an avid scuba diver, having completed my Open Water Diving Courses in the Summer of 2019 and am now a certified Open Water Diver working towards becoming an Advanced Certified Diver. I use this certification to be able to

-          Participate in water cleanliness events to pick up trash in local lakes

-          Cave Dive and explore a multitude of places available across the country

-          Learn about the different types of fauna and animals that live beneath the surface of the ocean and lakes
